Two very important holidays for us are coming: Kharkiv’s Liberation Day and Independence Day of Ukraine. August 23 is a special day for each resident of Kharkiv. It is the City Day, the day of the dearest city. The city, the history of which we are so proud of and wonderful future of which we all expect. It is the holiday for those who liberated Kharkiv and who worked and is working for its greater glory and prosperity. Year by year, the number of our native Kharkiv’s liberators reduces. We will always remember and be grateful to those who have already passed away. Hats off to the liberators who live not only in Kharkiv, but also in other cities and countries. We wish all of our veterans sound health, attention and care. We are forever indebted to You.
We are grateful to every Kharkiv resident, who linked his or her life with the native city. To everyone who every day works for the greater glory of Kharkiv and its residents. Our beautiful, safe and strong city is an achievement of each Kharkiv resident.
On August 24, our country will celebrate its 27th Independence anniversary. Our children and grandchildren were born in independent Ukraine. And their future depends mainly on us: on our wisdom, tolerance, concern, readiness to live and work for the benefit of Ukraine. The real patriotism is not in the love words about the native country, but in the real deeds. To love means to act. To love means to believe. Believe in ourselves, in our close people, in our city and in our country!
Peace, happiness and prosperity to our dear Kharkiv and Ukraine!
