Dr. Rahmat Shah, the President of Indonesia Zoo & Aquarium Association, visited Feldman Ecopark. He highly assessed the work of Ukrainian counterparts – the richness and diversity of the animal collection, the conditions of animal maintenance, the level of staff’s qualification, as well as the projects of the Social and Humanitarian Complex. The visit was paid within the framework of the Memorandum of Cooperation signed earlier.
“I am delighted with what I’ve seen, as I could not even imaging that this park is so good. Finding out that is exists for only seven years, I understood what a huge work was made here. It is especially pleasant to note that animals are healthy here, and it is confirmed by the fact that they breed here. It is not difficult to organize a zoo, but it is difficult to find and train the staff working with animals, for them to professionally, sincerely and with love keep their animals in such a perfect condition. It may be seen very and very rarely in zoos across the world,” Dr. Shah emphasized.
Speaking about the diversity of the animal collection in Feldman Ecopark, Rahmat Shah noted the great number of rare animals.
“I’ve visited many zoos of the world, which exist for several decades, however, not all of them have such a rich collection of primates, including big apes, and predators,” he said. “I also liked the fact that the whole zoo, and each enclosure in particular, looks very naturally, close to the nature. I am sure that people, who come here with children, obtain a valuable gift in form of happily spent time and learn the lesson of harmonious attitude to life. It is important that Feldman Ecopark not only acts as an entertaining and recreation site, but also undertook the mission of animal rescue and educational programmes arrangement.”
It should be reminded that in the beginning of 2018, Feldman Ecopark and Indonesia Zoo & Aquarium Association agreed on the cooperation aimed at the preservation and regeneration of rare animals. It should be also reminded that Feldman Ecopark is a Candidate for Membership in the European Association of Zoos and Aquaria, which unites many zoos of the world.
It should be noted that a couple of days ago, in South Africa, Feldman Ecopark signed the Memorandum of Cooperation with the South African Zoo Farm IMPEX Wildlife. The Memorandum provides for the cooperation with the range of zoos and farms in Africa.
