Feldman Ecopark Centre for Psychosocial Rehabilitation participated in international conference devoted to anti-terrorist operation

The specialists of Feldman Ecopark Centre for Psychosocial Rehabilitation participated in the international scientific and practical conference “War in Ukraine. Pathomorphosis of mental and behavioral disorders”. It was held in Dnieper and brought together about 200 psychotherapists, psychologists, neuropathologists and other doctors from different regions of our country and abroad countries. The scientists and practicians discussed a situation with treatment and rehabilitation of ATO participants and IDPs from Donbass. The heads of psychological and medical services of the Feldman Ecopark Centre for Psychosocial Rehabilitation Tatiana Aliieva and Inna Vashkite have submitted to approval of scientific community the binary report “Application of methods of Eco-therapy in rehabilitation system of war veterans”.

“We shared with our colleagues the experience in working of our Centre in this direction on the basis of Feldman Ecopark since 2014. During 4 years we managed not only to achieve concrete practical results – more than 700 war veterans and about 1,000 IDPs underwent psychosocial rehabilitation — but also to synthesize own technique of psycho correctional coaching — Tatiana Aliieva told. – It is based on complex application of natural and preformed factors, first of all, a variety of animal therapy and landscape therapy. Our know-how which received the name “Eco-therapy” attracted a keen interest of the practicing experts and received recognition from scientific community. We continue to popularize it and we invite colleagues to partnership, using all accessible methodologies, including scientific conferences like this”.
According to Inna Vashkite, the participation in a scientific and practical conference has broadened the field for interaction with the colleagues from different regions of Ukraine who are engaged in the rehabilitation of ATO veterans and IDPs.
“We managed to reach an agreement for joint activities, trainings and seminars on animal therapy and, more widely, the Eco-therapy on the basis of our Centre. In the long term we plan to expand possibilities of educational practice for students of profile higher education institutions and we intend to recruit foreign experts as volunteers.” — Inna Vashkite noted.
It should be reminded that the Centre of Psychosocial Rehabilitation works in Feldman Ecopark since 2013. Here more than 10 recreation and adaptation projects directed to help to children and adults, including, the IDPs families and ATO veterans are implemented. In 5 years 6,300 persons including 1,900 children underwent rehabilitation in the Centre. The specialists of the Centre are also engaged in scientific and methodical work, provide internship for future psychologists on the basis of the Feldman Ecopark and provide trainings for the caseworkers working with ATO veterans of ATO and IDPs
