Vlada Bondarenko, the member of Children’s Ecology and Nature Study Academy of Feldman Ecopark, became the prizewinner of the VIII national student’s competition in ecology. For the scientific work “Green plantings of megalopolises: impact on microclimate, protection, harmonious exploitation” she gained the diploma of the ІІІ degree. The 15-year-old pupil has been studying in the Children’s Academy of Feldman Ecopark for 6 years. According to her tutor, the head of the Theatre of children and animals of the Feldman Ecopark Elena Harazhina, it is one of the most active and capable pupils.
“We congratulate Vlada on this victory. This is a really important achievement, she could pass a preliminary regional stage and appeared among 75 best pupils from all Ukraine, and then she adequately presented the Kharkiv region at the national level. In our Theatre the young naturalist is engaged in soft education of animals, works practically with all our zoo actors: pigeons, alpaca, a pig, a polecat, a fox terrier. She acts in all performances, participates in staging of dance numbers. As the senior young naturalist, Vlada helps to train children in the circles “Grow in Ecopark” and “Alphabet of Nature” — Helena Harazhina noted. — Vlada pays much attention to profound studying of biology, using unique opportunities of our Children’s Academy. She is the author of three research works, which she delivered at different conferences.
Upon finishing school, the girl plans to use knowledge and skills received in the Feldman Ecopark for admission to the profile faculty of one of leading universities of Ukraine. She wants to pursue serious science — molecular biology and bioengineering. We very much hope that Vlada will achieve great results and the whole world finds out about our pupil, the famous scientist-biologist”.
It should be reminded that the Children’s Ecology and Nature Study Academy of Feldman Ecopark is one of Ukraine’s largest non-governmental out-of-school educational institutions. More than 1,000 children of different age study in it. In summer, during the period of operation of the children’s health improving and educational camp in the Feldman Ecopark’s Social and Humanitarian Complex, more than 1,000 children attend the Nature Study Academy. There are more than a dozen of different departments and clubs in it: Horse Complex, Theatre of Children and Animals, Young Naturalists-Biologists Club, EcoSmarty Children Development School, Young Cynologist Club, Master City creative studio, Ski and Biathlon Club, Tourist Multidiscipline Competition Group, and many more.
