The wheelchair-using shepherd Aina rehabilitated in the Centre for Wild, Exotic and Domestic Animals Rescue “Feldman Ecopark Good Home” found new owners. This weekend a dog was transported to the new owner to one of picturesque villages of Kiev oblast. The young kind-hearted woman read about Aina in social networks and made a decision to care for the dog with special needs.
“I saw a post on Facebook and read Aina’s story, looked into these big sad eyes and something grabbed me immediately. Everything’s turned around in me, I felt that I want this shepherd to live with me and be happy — Anastasia told. – The decision was made quickly, basically overnight, and in the morning I called “Feldman Ecopark Good Home”. I told them about my intention, about myself, that I’m ready to care of Aina and I will cope with it, I have an experience and proper conditions. I’ve already had a German shepherd, now the dog lives at my parents’. 4 British cats and the Caucasian Shepherd Snezha live in my house. So I have proper experience and Aina won’t be bored”.
Anastasia lives in a beautiful place at the border of the Kiev and the Cherkassy regions. Her cozy house is surrounded with forest oak groves, water meadows, lakes with high hills. She, the successful Kiev designer and advertiser, moved here a few years ago. “I wanted to be closer to the nature, to breathe fresh air, to eat natural products, to enjoy all this beauty. I bought this house with a square of ground; I restored and equipped everything to my personal taste. Now I’m engaged in eco-tourism, agriculture and creativity — Anastasia explained the choice. – I often receive guests, friends and family; many supporters come to my place in order to rest from city bustle and to help me about the house. They also supported my decision to take a wheelchair-using shepherd. My canine handler friend and other veterinarian friend told me: “If you’ve made the decision, go for it and we will be near, together we will pull off and put your Aina on legs”.
The specialists and the volunteers of “Feldman Ecopark Good Home” won’t leave the beloved dog with big kind eyes without guardianship. They rescued Aina that was left to die by the side of the road, nursed it back to health, supplied with the exclusive vehicle and, above all, helped to find Anastasia.
“We will maintain regular contact, consult on any questions and help in any way we can —the head of the All-Ukrainian Service for Wild, Exotic and Domestic Animals Rescue “Feldman Ecopark Good Home” Iryna Podvoiska told. — We will try to visit Aina; this dog has become our near and dear. We hope that the dog is awaited just by love, kind friends and cheerful adventures, like in a fairy tale with the happy end”.
It should be reminded that in the middle of November, 2017 the Kharkiv volunteers found a shepherd with the paralyzed legs near the Kharkiv circular road and brought it to the All-Ukrainian Service for Wild, Exotic and Domestic Animals Rescue “Feldman Ecopark Good Home”. Here the dog was provided with veterinary assistance, received the name Aina and got a special wheelchair for movement. This story caused huge resonance in media and social networks enabling the dog with special needs to find the new house.
It should be also reminded that since the work of the Centre for Wild, Exotic and Domestic Animals Rescue “Feldman Ecopark Good Home” its specialists and volunteers have already found new owners for about 18, 000 pets and rescued more than 4,000 wild animals.
