The World Snow Day, or the International Day of Winter Sports will be marked in Feldman Ecopark the next weekend. It is a new holiday initiated by the International Ski Federation (FIS). It is celebrated on the 3rd Sunday of January.
“The World Snow Day was established for the popularization of winter sports and active, healthy life-style. This year, it is relevant as never before: first, the nature have finally decided to please us with the real snow. So, all fans of skis, sledges, snowboard and other winter entertainments may consider it as the opening of the season. And second, all fans of winter sports are currently waiting for the main winter event happening once in four years – Winter Olympics, which will soon start in South Korea,” the organizers of the holiday told.
The main event of Sunday holiday is the presentation of Feldman Ecopark Ski and Biathlon Club. This sports school was opened in Ecopark not so long ago, however, it becomes more and more popular and already demonstrates successful results at the municipal and national competitions. The Club members and everyone else will be able to take part in the interesting sports and entertaining programme.
Young visitors to Feldman Ecopark will be able to demonstrate their sports skills in the game “Snow Whirl.” As for adults, the selfie fans will be able to feel themselves real athletes and make bright photos in special thematic photo zones.
The traditional tea party will be a logical continuation of the sports holiday. Everyone, who feels tired or frozen, will be treated with tasty and healthy tea with honey and cracknels from Feldman Ecopark.
