In Ukraine the unified animal rescue hotline appeared.
The Service for Wild, Exotic and Domestic Animals Rescue “Feldman Ecopark Good Home” opened the All-Ukrainian information hotline to assist animals. It will be possible to get qualified advice and if necessary to call rescuers to assist animals by the unified phone number 0-800-302-303. Now the line works in the test mode. All calls are free of charge.
“Issue of animals in Ukraine has many aspects: they perish from poachers and lose their habitat, they are extirpated to please the fur fans and etched for training of hunting dogs, they are hit by cars and they experience horror in zones of military operations not less than people. Pets very often move to the streets or suffer from ill-treatment. The Feldman Ecopark is a national park. We support all good initiatives and we provide their implementation. So, the volunteers integrated and created service for animal rescue “Good Home” on our base — the founder of the Feldman Ecopark, the Ukrainian MP Oleksandr Feldman emphasized. — Since the service was founded they have been engaged in providing assistance to animals got into trouble: both wild animals and pets. First, this work contributed within Kharkiv and region, but over time it became clear that in Ukraine the efforts of specialists and volunteers who are engaged in animal rescue aren’t coordinated. People who found the animal in need of assistance very often simply don’t know where to apply help. For the solution of this problem the All-Ukrainian network is created”.
Everyone who found the wounded animal or that got in unnatural and dangerous habitat, the cubs that lost parents, the thrown pets or faced ill treatment cases can address by phone of the hotline. Here the applicant will get professional consultation how to act in each case and will connect with necessary services. Feldman Ecopark Good Home has already improved partnership with several tens organizations in the majority of the large cities of Ukraine which are engaged in animal assistance. And if the situation requires, the specialists of the Feldman Ecopark Good Home are always ready to provide rescue. The hotline works daily from 9:00 to 21:00.
It should be reminded that Feldman Ecopark Good Home is engaged in the help to animals since 2010. In 2013, it became the Service for Wild, Exotic and Domestic Animals Rescue “Feldman Ecopark Good Home”. The project aimed at rescue of animals from ill-treatment, help to wounded animals and those got into trouble, reduction of quantity of stray animals with use of humane methods. Over the years of work, about 4 thousand wild animals were rescued, 18 thousand pets found new home. The programme is implemented under the patronage of the International Charitable Foundation “Oleksandr Feldman Foundation”.
