Dear Friends!
The first Constitution in Ukraine appeared earlier than in the majority of the countries worldwide. Hetman Pylyp Orlyk developed the first Fundamental Law of our land more than 300 years ago. The tradition of lawmaking was developed in the contemporary history: in 1996, Ukrainian citizens obtained the Fundamental Law, which guaranteed rights and freedoms, and which finally assigned the independence of a European state to our country.
Today, when our country suffers these difficult times, it is important as never before to unquestionably observe the rules of the Fundamental Law.
The Constitution guarantees each of us the right to life, to respect of human dignity, to freedom, labour, rest, health protection and decent life standards, social protection and education, free environment and fair trial. The guarantee of all these and other constitutional rights stipulate the progress of the whole country and the increase of life quality for every person.
