The family of predators in Feldman Ecopark continues to grow. A couple of Northwestern wolves Aza and Baron gave birth to two kids on April 17, and a couple of gray wolves Dasha and Judge gave birth to 7 wolf cubs on April 29.
“It is not the first breed of these couples of wolves,” Feldman Ecopark’s deputy director of zootechnics Valeriia Ivashchenko tells. “Aza and Baron produce offspring every year during already three years, while Dasha and Judge gave birth to wolf cubs last year.”
Valeriia Ivashchenko says that the wolf cubs feel fine and their condition doesn’t cause any concern, however, they are still staying in the quarantine unit. When they grow up a little and become stronger and independent, they will be transferred to the other zoos. Meanwhile, it will be possible to admire these funny kids in the enclosures of Feldman Ecopark as soon as the quarantine term ends.
It should be reminded that Dasha and Judge were rescued by the specialists of the All-Ukrainian Service for Wild, Exotic and Domestic Animals Rescue “Feldman Ecopark Good Home.” Dasha was a helpless wolf cub when it was found in the forest, and Judge was transferred from a private zoo.
The animal collection of Feldman Ecopark includes the total of 10 adult wolves of three species – gray, northwestern and Alaskan tundra wolves.
