The Centre of psychosocial rehabilitation of Feldman Ecopark provides an opportunity for the students of the National University of Civil Protection of Ukraine to undergo practice. The future psychologists get to know the volunteer activity, learn the fundamentals of animal-assisted therapy, work with children with special needs.
The students started to learn volunteer activity in April and will finish in June. During this time, the students will get to know the techniques of psychological effect, will carry out the individual consultations, and will acquire the skills in psychological correction. By the end of the practice, each student will get the certificate confirming the acquired skills and experience.
The head of the Centre’s medical service Inna Vashkite noted that there is a range of advantages in volunteer activity.
“It is the acquisition of experience, and the chance to assess own professional abilities, and the opportunity to extend own knowledge in the field of psychology and psychotherapy,” she summed up.
