Within the 1st International vocal and choral festival competition “Viva Сhorus,” which is to be held in Feldman Ecopark on May 7, there will be a great concert and grandiose musical flash mob. Starting from noon, the visitors of the Regional Landscape Park will be able to enjoy the performances of numerous creative teams – the participants and the guests of the festival.
Among them is the National artistic team “Orchestra of folk instruments under Kharkiv regional house of children’s and youth creativity” led by Valerii Horodovenko. They will open the concert, while the flash mob will start at 2.30 p.m. on the main square of Feldman Ecopark. Twenty chorus teams (nearly 300 vocalists) from all over the country will together sing “Prayer for Ukraine.” This solemn musical composition was created in 1885 by Mykola Lysenko (music) and Oleksandr Konysky (words). It is also named a church hymn of Ukraine. Its performance, according to the idea of the organizers of this patriotic musical event, must unite the residents of Sloboda and entire Ukraine in a single wish for peace and happiness in our country.
“The flash mob location was selected for a reason –Feldman Ecopark has already become a favourite place of all residents and guests of Kharkiv oblast to have a rest. We invite everyone to join our initiative and together pray for Ukraine,” one of the organizers of the Viva Сhorus festival Olesia Hazhych told.
According to the director of Feldman Ecopark Andrii Roshchupkin, the initiative of creative community was immediately supported by the International Charitable Foundation “Oleksandr Feldman Foundation” and the Regional Landscape Park.
“Each of us, regardless of nationality and religion, political view and social status, loves our native land and wishes it good, prosperity and peace. We think that to gather and sing all together about this is quite a worthy demonstration of patriotism,” Andrii Roshchupkin emphasized. “It is especially important and significant that this patriotic event will take place before the Time of Remembrance and Reconciliation for Those Who Lost Their Lives during the Second World War and Victory Day – the dates which are dear for the heart of each Ukrainian.”
