On April 1, All Fools’ Day, the team of Feldman Ecopark and its feathered residents – great white pelicans – took part in the trick on the visitors of Superior Golf & Spa Resort. A couple of rosy pelicans suddenly appeared on the training ground for golf players surprising all athletes and guests. No one was able to explain the visit of unusual guests, however, several eyewitnesses “saw them flying over Piatykhatky.” The mysterious birds immediately turned into the heroes of photo shoots: they fearlessly let people to approach them and readily posed for the cameras.
“Feldman Ecopark is a charitable project of the ICF “Oleksandr Feldman Foundation,” while the pelicans are not just beautiful birds. The whole world considers them as the symbol of charity,” the director of Feldman Ecopark Andrii Roshchupkin noted. “I am sure that our feathered good lookers managed to surprise and to please the participants of the trick on this humour and surprise day. We are thankful to the golf club for this wonderful idea! We are not going to reveal all secrets, as maybe there will be others who suddenly notice these beautiful birds flying over the city. The faith in miracle is so wonderful!”
By the evening the trick was disclosed by the workers of the golf club, who told that the birds arrived from Feldman Ecopark with the purpose to make the visitors of Superior Golf & Spa Resort happy.
It should be noted that 10 great white pelicans live in the Regional Landscape Park Feldman Ecopark. During the cold season, the birds live in the heated winter houses. When it becomes warmer, the families of the birds move to the Swan Lake. There are the special rafts for food and rest there, as well as the huge territory for swimming. The pelicans share this picturesque aquazone with swans, which is quite safely according to the specialists of the bird sector of Feldman Ecopark.
