A calamity happened in Kharkiv oblast: a powerful explosion took place in Balakliia this night, after which the fire covered Ukraine’s largest arsenal and ammunition started to detonate. Thousands of people – woman, children, and the aged are forced to urgently leave their homes, as many buildings are damaged. There is no information about the injured and the victims. Let’s hope that there will be none. It is still unknown how much time will be needed to manage the emergency. When in 2008 the similar thing happened in Lozova, more than one year was taken to deal with the consequences. I express my support to the residents of Balakliia, who have to experience this now: you will not stay one on one with your trouble. We will definitely render the necessary assistance. Our charitable foundation and the Concern AVEC and Co. PJSC initiated the collection of humanitarian assistance for the victims. The initiative was supported by the administration of Barabashovo trading centre together with the initiative group of entrepreneurs of the trading centre. Field kitchens, military tents and buses from the RLP “Feldman Ecopark” will be also sent to help the residents of Balakliia. The special crisis center was opened to arrange the collection of humanitarian assistance. The collection of warm clothing, personal hygiene products, baby food, infant formula, diapers and medicines is already launched.
