O. Feldman: Ambassadors of many countries of the world expressed their interest in the Kharkiv social projects

The Ukrainian MP Oleksandr Feldman held meetings with ambassadors of a number of the states of Europe, Asia and America.  They were centred on the theme of these countries’ cooperation with Kharkiv and the Kharkiv region. He reported about it in an interview to the “Fakty I Kommentarii” newspaper. “Only in one October week in Kiev I met heads of many foreign diplomatic legations in Ukraine, namely: the ambassador of Canada Roman Vashchuk, the ambassador of Germany Ernst Wolfgang Reichel, the ambassador of the Netherlands Kees Jan Rene Klompenkhauver, the head of diplomatic mission of France Isabel Dumont, the ambassador of Hungary Erno Keskeny, ambassador of Turkey Yonet Tezel and Kazakhstan’s envoy Samat Ordabayev”, – Oleksandr Feldman told.

According to him, these meetings weren’t formal and strictly scheduled. “On their part I saw live professional interest to the real problems of our city and region connected with economic and humanitarian development. We discussed environmental issues, medicine and education, legal and social protection of children, internal displaced persons and ATO participants. The diplomats became especially interested in the projects directed to the complex solution of social problems”, – the politician emphasized.

At meetings, in particular, the Feldman Ecopark project already having more than 30 international partners was presented to ambassadors. Among them – the European Association of Zoos and Aquariums, the World Wide Fund for Nature, the International animal accounting system, National Geographic, well-known zoos of Europe and the world.

“In my opinion, the shortest way to Europe is to realize the European values of respect for the person and the nature in practice at home. And all those conversations that now it’s not time, when the country goes through rough times, – not a justification. The investments will come and the economic interest will increase in many times when we are able to show the existing complex social and humanitarian projects. The meetings with ambassadors confirmed this thesis”, – Oleksandr Feldman noted.
