Lisa Prokhodenko is only 11 years old, but this girl succeeded in many aspects: she’s a bright star of the Theatre of Children and Animals and the active young scientist whose research works won the first places at the All-Ukrainian tenders.
Lisa joined the Feldman Ecopark’s ranks of young naturalists two years ago, having directed onstage the Theatre at once. At that time she was overflowed with opposite feelings: the girl saw herself an actress in her dreams, but in practice she was afraid of public. “I remember that I’ve never participated in tenders, concerts and other school events – I hesitated very much. It seemed to me that when I step on the stage, nobody will listen to me”, – Lisa shares memories. But the girl’s concerns were vain: only the first week she helped out with stage requisites, and then, having mustered up courage, she went onstage with her first act. “It was very disturbing and dreadful, but I harnessed my willpower and showed the performance with a goat named Kiwi – it was my first scenic partner”, – Lisa tells. “The Baba-Yaga’s School” -the debut-performance of the young actress was exultantly met by the audience. Under squall of applause the girl understood that she intends to conquer the stage!
Now the young actress belongs to the gold part of theatrical company – she not only brilliantly plays the roles, but already shares the acquired experience with younger children, opening animal training secrets. How to force a goat Yasha to walk a “snake” step, a polecat Alya to dance and a pigeon Jupiter to fly over from hand to hand –Lisa’s working record only grows up. Thanks to this most valuable experience the young actress hopes that once she will manage to get on the circus arena.
“Earlier I was lost in thoughts what’s closer to me: veterinary science or circus art? In medicine, most likely, it is impossible to omit lethal outcomes – such is life, and I’m not ready to lose animals. That’s why I decided to go to circus and to apply there our technology of soft animal education”, – the young naturalist tells.
But Lisa doesn’t hurry to look so far in the future; the girl considers that it is necessary to live for the day and to take the maximum benefit from it. Trainings at the Ecopark’s school of actors gave the girl a lot: confidence, posed speech and the main thing – knowledge. Now Lisa second to none at biology school lessons, moreover, the girl continually surprises the schoolmates with the new facts from fauna which she managed to learn during her personal researches. For example, whether the four-legged recognize themselves in mirrors? It turns out, that only our nearest relatives – the chimpanzees are able to do it. Others – parrots, dogs and polecats are sure that the mirror reflection is their relative. By the way, this Lisa’s research won recognition not only in her class, but also the country – this work was awarded the second place at the All-Ukrainian tender of children’s research works in the field of natural study “The Young Researcher”.
Besides, the girl is sure that thanks to Feldman Ecopark she has opened the main rule helping her to overcome shyness and constraint on the stage: a wide smile, a ringing voice, concentration and a slice of improvisation – unforeseen circumstances happen in every number, and you must be always ready to new turns. “And no matter what happens in actor’s soul, the spectator must see well staged programme– and this is a skill top!” – the young actress summed up.
