“We prepared this special programme before the Day of Defender of Ukraine not only to be entertaining, but also to be aimed at patriotic education. We deliberately turned to the history, to the Cossacks times, because Ukrainian people respect the holiday of the Intercession of the Theotokos from time immemorial. It was traditionally celebrated as the Day of Ukrainian Cossacks, and it is now celebrated as the Day of Defender of Ukraine as well. During these alarming times, when our warriors have to struggle for Ukraine’s independence, this holiday has a special symbolic meaning,” Andrii Roshchupkin, the Director of the Feldman Ecopark said.
