The landscape designers of the Feldman Ecopark make the finishing touches to their floristic compositions preparing the brightest and the most aromatic holiday of autumn – the Chrysanthemum Ball – for the residents and the guests of Kharkiv. The opening ceremony of the main parade of flowers in Kharkiv will take place this Saturday, October 8.
The abundance of the kinds of chrysanthemums that will be the gem of the holiday is the real pride of the Regional Landscape Park. Over 60 kinds will be represented. The visitors of the Feldman Ecopark will be able to look at such kinds of autumn beauties as Chrysanthemum rotundus (grandiflorus and parviflorous) and one-bloom disbudded chrysanthemum (needle shaped and common), which were raised by Ukrainian and West European collectors specially for the Ecopark’s floristic festival.
It should be reminded that the Chrysanthemum Ball is a feast of flowers initiated by Ukrainian MP, the famous patron and the founder of the Feldman Ecopark, Oleksandr Feldman. The floristic festival has already become a tourist twist of Kharkiv region. This event gathers the visitors from across Ukraine every year. There were over 80,000 guests last autumn at the Ball’s opening ceremony.
