A. Feldman urged not to allow fomenting interethnic hostility in Ukraine

The Ukrainian MP, the chairman of subcommittee concerning nationality, migration policy and ethnic groups of Ukraine of Committee of the Verkhovna Rada concerning human rights, ethnic minorities and the international relations Alexander Feldman urged not to allow fomenting interethnic hostility in Ukraine

“I am extremely outraged by the act of a subhuman which cruelly killed the child in Loshchinovka (Odessa region), and I am sure that he must be duly punished. But I’m categorically against name-calling to crimes, additions of a national component.” – wrote the politician on his  Facebook page, commenting on the tragedy in Odessa region and anti- Roman protests.

According to him, Adding to crimes a nationality is an additional incitement of inter-ethnic discord, bound for nowhere.

“If Roma are engaged in drug trafficking and thefts in the village, that is for the police to do it. But there is a huge number of law-abiding citizens who shan’t be responsible for crimes of the compatriots.”, – the deputy notes.

“I always considered the greatest achievement that Ukraine for 25 years of independence could preserve international peace. Let’s not allow the incitement of enmity.”, – Feldman called.
