“The Forest Workshop” opened in “The City of Masters” Feldman Ecopark

Occupations at summer school Feldman Ecopark began. The project is collectively called “The City of Masters” and is aimed at the creative development of young visitors, and also their acquaintance to different types of decorative art. “The Forest Workshop” became the first location of “The City of Masters”. Here skilled teachers teach kids to make toys of simple improvised materials by their hands.

The origami, quilling, plasticine graphics, molding and coloring of plaster sculptures – lessons are calculated for children of 4 years and over. Their parents can also attend a course and learn the secrets of crafts for family leisure. Such creativity has no age restrictions, it unites and develops small and adult, the master teachers consider. According to them, the atmosphere of Feldman Ecopark in itself- the fine nature, games, communication with animals – adjusts on a creative harmony.

“It is very important to teach the child to do arts and crafts since the early childhood. It contributes to the development of motility, imagination, ability to concentrate attention, – the teacher of the City of Masters Project, the teacher with long-term experience Nataly Maleeva tells. – The aspiration to create is enshrined in children: to rumple, to put, to cut out, to do something by hands. It is only necessary to give them a chance and the correct direction of force application. And modern life and school are not very conductive to it. Here, in Ecopark, are the most favorable conditions. All this is perceived by the children not as a boring lesson, but as a rest, entertainment. And the pleasure from “the jumping frog”, “the biting chanterelle” or any other hand-made crafts remains for the rest of life. The satisfaction of the fruits of their labor cultivates self-confidence. It is very important for child-rearing”.

Occupations in the fresh air take place 4 times a week (Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) from 11.00 till 14.00. Anyone can register in occupations of “The City of Masters”. More detailed information will be given in the Information center of Ecopark: +38 (050) 401 09 12; +38 (057) 719 99 03.

We will note that except the created constant groups, the guests of Feldman Ecopark and children from city children’s camp also will be able to attend classes. The special art therapeutic program is developed for them.

“The City of Masters” will extend. In the nearest plans for this season is opening of new locations (workshops, greenhouses, studios) where adults and kids will learn floristic, willow weaving, forest sculpture, and will gain other useful knowledge and skills in eco arts.
