Feldman Ecopark shared experience with regional educators

The regional practical training session for cultural organizers of out-of-school educational institutions on the topic “The role of out-of-school educational institution in the organization of summer rest of children and students” took place in the Regional Landscape Park Feldman Ecopark on June 9. The seminar was initiated by the regional Children’s Creative Activity Centre, and the educators from Kharkiv oblast took part in it.

The practical part of the event was devoted to the learning of educational projects of the Feldman Ecopark, the experience of its work in the organization of out-of-school circles, children’s summer camps, as well as the forms of cooperation with educational institutions of Kharkiv oblast.

“The organization of own children’s summer camps together with everyday excursions to the Feldman Ecopark from school camps of the city of Kharkiv and oblast is one of the main forms of our work with children this summer,” the head of humanitarian programs of the Feldman Ecopark Iryna Yavorska told. “This year, we have already launched the second season of health-improving camps, which may be attended free of charge by all schoolchildren from the city of Kharkiv and oblast. It is planned to have 12 sessions from June to August. Each of them has 25 persons on average. In addition, there are day-time camps for the children from our Club of Young Naturalists – near 200 children attend them during summer.”

The priority task for the Feldman Ecopark is the organization of comprehensive rest for children with special needs. The camp with special programme for three sessions will work for them during summer holidays.

“During educational year, we constantly work with boarding schools and other institutions for special children. Together we implement health-improving and educational projects. The organization of summer camp for children with special needs, where they will be able to have a rest together with common children and follow the programme of young naturalists of the Feldman Ecopark”, is the new and perspective direction of this cooperation,” Iryna Yavorska noted.
