The unique festival Peter & the Wolf at the Zoo took place in the Jerusalem Zoo on May 25, June 2 and 5. The International Charitable Foundation “Oleksandr Feldman Foundation” and the Regional Landscape Park Feldman Ecopark became the partners of the event.
Shai Doron, the director-general of the zoo and the member of the Feldman Ecopark’s supervisory board informed that this was the first time when the similar festival was held. The very idea of its organization appeared under the influence of the Feldman Ecopark and various bright events, which are held there.
The uniqueness of the event is in the fact that the musical event took place on the territory of the zoo for the first time. A lot of visitors watched the artists’ performances in the zoo, including the high-ranking guests, in particular, the mayor of Jerusalem and the members of Israeli government. The festival was very successful and it helped in fund-raising to open aquarium in the Jerusalem Zoo. It is planned to continue the practice of the similar events’ holding in the future.
The festival in the Jerusalem Zoo was the part of a large cultural event in this country, the Jerusalem Festival. “The Jerusalem Zoo and Mr. Shai Doron are our old partners who, in particular, helped the Feldman Ecopark to become a candidate for the membership in the European Association of Zoos and Aquaria,” Ukrainian MP Oleksandr Feldman noted. “That is why it is very pleasant for us to share our experience in the cultural area and to render assistance to this wonderful festival.”
