Sonia and Lucky, the raccoons living in the Regional Landscape Park Feldman Ecopark have a baby. Recently, they gave birth to their first kid. It spends all the time close to his mother right now, but soon, according to the words of the Ecopark’s specialists, it will undergo the medical examination, vaccination and other necessary procedures.
“The natural diet of raccoons is diverse: reptiles, bird’s eggs, rodents, fish, cancroids, as well as fruits, berries, nuts and acorns. The diet of our animals is well-balanced. Now, Little Raccoon eats only mother’s milk,” the Feldman Ecopark’ deputy director Valeriia Ivashchenko told. “It is possible to see a favourite of the social networks in the enclosure, where it lives with the parents. However, it is difficult to make this because raccoons lead a reserved and mainly nocturnal life.”
It should be reminded that there are 7 raccoons and two raccoon dogs in the Regional Landscape Park. By the way, the latter were rescued from hunters in Rivne oblast thanks to the interference of the All-Ukrainian Service for Wild, Exotic and Domestic Animals Rescue “Feldman Ecopark Good Home.”
