Newborn jay nestlings saved in Feldman Ecopark

Three-week old jay nestlings were sheltered in the Feldman Ecopark. Six little birds were found by the residents of Kharkiv, who brought them to skilled specialists immediately.

“The nestlings are currently under the twenty-four-hour care of the specialists of the Feldman Ecopark. The team faced a difficult but feasible task – to save their life and to replace their mother. This means that the kids must have a proper temperature conditions, hourly balanced and, the main thing, natural feeding. When the nestlings get stronger, we will place them into spacious enclosure, where they will learn to fly,” the director of birds’ department of the Feldman Ecopark Volodymyr Perekhodovych told.

According to the words of the Ecopark’s specialists, when the birds learn how to fly and begin to care of themselves independently, they will be released to the forest.

By the way, over 300 rescued birds were release to the nature by the specialists of the Feldman Ecopark.

It should be reminded that the All-Ukrainian Service for Wild, Exotic and Domestic Animals Rescue “Feldman Ecopark Good Home” works in the Feldman Ecopark for over three years. During its work, the specialists managed to cure and find home for over 2,000 animals.
