Feldman welcomes plans on Yunost park reconstruction

Ukrainian MP Oleksandr Feldman welcomes the plans of the Kharkiv city authorities to carry out the reconstruction of the Yunost park in the Kholodnohirskyi district of the city. “This park is very important for the residents of the district. It is often not very convenient for families with children and pensioners to go to the parks, which are situated far from their homes, for example, the Feldman Ecopark that is situated beyond the city or the parks situated in the centre of Kharkiv. While the single park situating here, which has once been a good park of culture and rest, is currently dilapidated,” the politician noted.

He expressed hope that the reconstruction plans will be implemented soon, and the residents of the district will be able to spend time in a modern and well-attended park they need so much.

“We are always ready to render assistance to similar initiatives. I have already told that it would be wonderful if the whole city, the region and the whole country to become one huge park with the best conditions for cultural family rest,” Oleksandr Feldman noted.

It should be noted that according to the information of the Administration of Kholodnohirskyi district, the first task of the reconstruction works to be implemented in the Yunost park is the improvement of the spring, the construction of a font, the repair of the fortress, the mounting of children’s playing elements, the reconstruction of paths. It also planned to construct an amphitheatre and to clean the pond in the future.

Reference. The Yunost park was opened in 1978. It has a two-level fortress with towers and suspension bridge, a steam locomotive with two carriages, a Ferris wheel and other park amusements, an open-air cinema, and a spring. With the lapse of time, the park amusements and the steam locomotive were disassembled, the fortress and the cinema destroyed, the spring became unusable.
