Feldman Ecopark’s specialists adopt European practices

The representatives of the Feldman Ecopark made a business trip to the largest zoos of Europe. During the trip, the special attention of specialists were paid to the modern maintenance means and the peculiarities of exotic animals breeding.

“The huge experience of our colleagues in maintenance and breeding of some animal species, like cheetahs, leopards, hyacinth macaws and others, is very useful for us,” the director of the Feldman Ecopark Andrii Roshchupkin told. “Moreover, more modern solutions appear in European zoos; for example, provision of the necessary facilities in enclosures. The best practices will be implemented in the Ecopark.”

It should be noted that the director of the Ecopark Andrii Roshchupkin and the deputy director of zootechnic issues Valeriia Ivashchenko visited Dvůr Králové Zoo and Olomouc Zoo in the Czech Republic, as well as Hanover Zoo and Leipzig Zoo in Germany. Soon, the representatives of these zoos will make a return visit to Ukraine and the Feldman Ecopark.

It should be reminded that during five years of its existence, the Feldman Ecopark became an eco-hallmark of Ukraine. In average, it is visited by 1,500,000 guests from 24 countries of the world every year. There are currently almost 2,000 animals of 200 species in the Feldman Ecopark. It has the biggest in Ukraine collection of primates, the number of which reached 180 animals of 30 species. The Feldman Ecopark occupies the area of 140.5 ha.
