Traditions of public and private partnership in Kharkiv region

Ukrainian MP and the founder of the personal international charitable foundation and one of the most famous in Europe regional landscape parks Feldman Ecopark, Oleksandr Feldman supports the intensification of the processes of the public and private partnership in humanitarian field.

The public and private partnership is a widespread and, most importantly, an effective foreign practice. Unfortunately, Ukraine has not so many examples of long-term cooperation of the state and the representatives of non-governmental structures and organization in solution of important social and burning problems. As for the projects of humanitarian field, there are few of them.

“Kharkiv region stands out among the other regions in this sense. Perhaps, we are one of not many regions, where the public and private partnership in the humanitarian field becomes a tradition. The programs of our charitable foundation and Ecopark are supported by the regional state administration. And I am very grateful to the governor of Kharkiv oblast for this support. And when the matter is in children’s health, it could not have been otherwise. Unfortunately, not every family today can afford the comprehensive improvement of child’s health. A place in the children’s health-improving camp cost near UAH 3,500 last year. It will be even more expensive this year. And not every family will be able to pay this money. That is why, it is our common task to organize a comprehensive rest for the children,” Mr. Feldman says.

The Feldman Ecopark has been implementing over 30 special children’s programs during many years. They are directed at health improvement and rehabilitation, as well as correction of behavioral disorders and wide range of educational directions. “This year will not be an exception. Moreover, in addition to our traditional visitors – children from Kharkiv and regional schools, we have got applications from the educational institutions from the other regions of Ukraine,” they say in the Feldman Ecopark. “Children are wiser than we, adults. They are open for new impressions and like no other they feel sincerity and beauty. They seek no tricks and pragmatism, and it makes no difference to them when the following elections will be held. They expect our support, assistance and understanding. We will be glad to see in the Ecopark both our Kharkiv children and young guests from the other regions. Let’s remember that there are no your children. There are no my children. There are only OUR children,” Oleksandr Feldman told.
