Baby orangutan appeared in Feldman Ecopark

There is a new addition to the family of primates in the Feldman Ecopark. An 11-months-old orangutan named Kuzia appeared here.

“Young Kuzia was given to the Ecopark by volunteers within the framework of the work of the Centre for wild, exotic and domestic animals rescue “Feldman Ecopark Good Home”,” the Feldman Ecopark deputy director of zootechnic issues Valeriia Ivashchenko told. “This orangutan underwent the detailed examination, as the result of which the vets found no violations. Fortunately, Kuzia is absolutely healthy.”

In order to support his growing organism, the baby sticks to a special diet and takes vitamins. Orangutan eats baby cereals, light bouillons and fruits. As for his preferences, Kuzia likes bananas, oranges and pers.

The visitors of the Ecopark will be able to look at this amazing representative of apes in spring. “When the cold season dangerous due to viruses spreading ends and the warm weather becomes stable, Kuzia will settle in the comfortable enclosure,” the Ecopark experts explain.

Now, the baby is under the intensified supervision of vets and experts in primates. Like any child, Kuzia is very active and curious, that is why he requires a twenty-four-hour attention.

It should be reminded that the primates collection in the Feldman Ecopark is the largest in Ukraine. There are near 180 monkeys of 30 species. In general, over 2,000 animals live here.
