The International Charitable Foundation “Oleksandr Feldman Foundation” celebrates its 22th anniversary. In far 1997 it was founded as a small city foundation called to help people with the solution of current problems and during this time reached the international level. It turned into charitable organization known not only in Ukraine, but also far beyond its borders. Today’s Foundation is hundreds of millions of hryvnias directed towards charity, these are more than 100 programmes and projects implemented and continuing to be implemented in spheres of social protection, health care, education, protection of nature, science, culture, sport and tourism as well as education of youth in the spirit of tolerance and respect for human rights.
The results of the work of Oleksandr Feldman Foundation are a pride not only of Kharkiv, but of the whole Ukraine – millions of guests from all regions annually visit the Social and Humanitarian Multi-Complex Feldman Ecopark; the Centre for Psychosocial Rehabilitation renders assistance to children and adults; thousands of pupils study in the Children’s Ecology and Nature Study Academy. It is the leading art platform of Eastern Ukraine – the AVEC Gallery, antiquity collections and art works of the Feldman Family Museum; the animal rescue within the cooperation with the World Open Foundation for Animal Rehabilitation and Reintroduction (WOFARR), activity of the Centre for Wild, Exotic and Domestic Animals Rescue and the Bat Rehabilitation Center; trainings and competitions in various sports within the 1,000 Teams Tournament programme. It is the assistance to pensioners, children, to the distressed families and international projects with participation of experts and volunteers from dozens of countries and many other things.
The members of the Foundation together with its founder, the Ukrainian MP, Oleksandr Feldman are not planning to end and will continue improvements in that regard. Namely, to develop the existing projects and to found new ones proceeding from challenges of the modern world. The aim of the Foundation remains unchanged – it is a creation in Ukraine of the open, fair, tolerant, prospering, ecologically oriented society in which each person will feel himself protected and will be able to realize the potential.
