The team of Ski and Biathlon club Feldman Ecopark took first place in the summer biathlon Championship of the Kharkiv region, which was held last Saturday. More than 100 young athletes of the Kharkiv region as well as their age-mates from the Volyn oblast participated in these competitions organized by the Biathlon Federation of the Kharkiv region and the Ukrainian East Centre for Olympic Winter Sports Training.<\/p>\n
“We are proud of results of our children! They showed worthy results and became prizewinners of competitions: Solomiia Shulga won the 2nd place, while Ann Tykhanovska was 3rd among girls. David Bessonov and Oleksii Shyp got “bronze”. Our Club sidestepped rivals and became the champion of the region in team classification!” \u2014 the head of Feldman Ecopark Ski and Biathlon Club Svitlana Ilyinskikh shared good news.<\/p>\n
It should be noted that within the competition regulation, its participants overcame a cross-country distance in their age group and carried out air rifle shooting in a prone position. The participants had five ball-cartridges to strike five targets. For each miss the athlete overcame a penalty loop.
\nIt should be reminded that the Feldman Ecopark Ski and Biathlon Club was opened in October 2016. It is one of the most popular sports direction within the 1,000 Teams Tournament project. 70 children aged from 6 up to 15 years train in the Club free of charge all year round. Since 2017, the special programme for children with special needs, including vision-impaired children and children with musculoskeletal disorders is being implemented here. Lessons take place 3 times a week in the territory of the Social and Humanitarian Multi-Complex Feldman Ecopark. The members of the Club regularly participate in sport competitions of different level and steadily show good results.
