On Saturday, the numerous company of primacies living in Feldman Ecopark celebrated a feast, the Orangutan\u2019s birthday. A festive dainty from his favorite forage waited for a B-Day man in festively decorated enclosure.<\/p>\n
On Sunday, the Feldman Ecopark joined the special campaigns, held on the occasion of the World Crane Day, on September 9. “The programme was structured so as our guests, having listened to the story about the representatives of the crane family, could better remember the facts by participating in a thematic quiz. Populations of some crane species are now reduced, and there are those threatened with extinction. Apart from the fact that cranes are beautiful birds, they are an important component of biological diversity of the Earth as they inhabited almost the entire planet, cranes still play a significant role in human culture” \u2014 the organizers of the festivities say.
\nThe master class in creation of paper cranes according to origami traditions was devoted to the importance of these birds in the Japanese culture. Little experts on bird’s life were able to flaunt knowledge and resourcefulness by participating in a quiz “What does crane eat?”<\/p>\n
Young participants of the festive programme carried balloons from Feldman Ecopark with them, while their parents got pendant with the Multi- Complex emblem as memento.<\/p>\n
The World Crane Day is celebrated since 2002 at the initiative of the scientists ecologists from the USA, which in the fight to rescue the disappearing American crane laid eggs of this endangered birds to the nests of other crane species. The day when the brood of rescued birds began to nest became a holiday.
