On June 21, the field meeting of the Kharkiv psychotherapists’ association was held on the basis of the Feldman Ecopark Centre for Psychosocial Rehabilitation. The practitioners, scientists and teachers gathered in the Social and Humanitarian Multi-Complex to discuss the latest trends and pressing problems in the sphere of mental health protection.<\/p>\n
“Such forums are held quite regularly \u2013 psychotherapists impart experience in an informal setting, discuss and even conduct brainstorms. The similar format of direct communication is no less productive, than usual conferences. It allows random widening or deepening of the discussed issues and promotes creative implementation of new methodologies into practical work. This time Feldman Ecopark and directly our Centre became the venue for the meeting of psychotherapists’ association \u2014 the head of the medical service of the Centre of Psychosocial Rehabilitation of the Feldman Ecopark Inna Vashkite told. \u2013 We managed to combine business with pleasure: both to present to colleagues joy of communication with the nature and animals and to set them up with our practices, first of all in the field of animal-assisted therapy”.<\/p>\n
It should be noted that the Feldman Ecopark Centre for Psychosocial Rehabilitation was opened in 2013. It implements more than ten health-improving and adaptation projects aimed at the assistance to children and adults, including the families of IDPs and ATO veterans. The activities are based on the complex application of different types of animal-assisted therapy and landscape-therapy united into a unique method \u2013 Eco-therapy, developed by Kharkiv experts. During five years of its activity, the Centre rendered assistance to 6,300 persons, including 1,900 children. The specialists of the Centre also carry out the research and methodology work, provide training for the future psychologists in Feldman Ecopark, and give training lessons for social workers, who deal with ATO veterans and IDPs.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
