The tug-of-war and armwrestling competitions among students took place in the Social and Humanitarian Multi-Complex Feldman Ecopark on May 17. The best athletes from five higher educational institutions of Kharkiv took part in them. The \u201carm\u201d victory was gained by the team from A.N. Beketov Kharkiv National University of Urban Economy. The best ones in the tug-of-war competition were the students of the National University of Civil Defence of Ukraine. Now they will represent Kharkiv oblast at the Ukrainian Championship among students, which will take place in Kyiv on May 26.<\/p>\n
It should be reminded that tug-of-war and armwrestling competitions in Feldman Ecopark were held under the auspices of the ICF \u201cOleksandr Feldman Foundation\u201d within its 1,000 Teams Tournament project. The event was arranged by the Department of Scienc and Education under the Kharkiv Regional State Administration and the Special Department of the National NGO \u201cSport Students Union of Ukraine\u201d in Kharkiv oblast. All of the participants of the competitions were awarded with Feldman Ecopark\u2019s certificates, diplomas and cups from the organizers.<\/p>\n
Within the sport festivities on May 17, Feldman Ecopark also hosted the games of the 18th football week of the Special Olympics of Ukraine among children with special needs. The members of seven special educational institutions of Kharkiv oblast took part in them.<\/p>\n
\u201cThese football competitions are arranged in many European countries, including Ukraine. In Kharkiv oblast, they are held for the second year running in Feldman Ecopark,\u201d the director of Kharkiv regional sports union of schoolchildren and students Viktor Pavlenko told. \u201cHere, they have created favourable conditions for children with special needs, and the very atmosphere of the Ecopark creates positive mood and motivates to lead active life.\u201d<\/p>\n
It should be reminded that the 1,000 Teams Tournament is a project of the International Charitable Foundation \u201cOleksandr Feldman Foundation\u201d uniting different sports in Feldman Ecopark. It is aimed at the popularization of healthy lifestyle in all of its aspects. Despite the fact that the project is, first of all, aimed at children and youth, everyone, regardless of age and physical condition, are able to find a sport for own taste.
