On the New Year\u2019s Eve, the Centre for Wild, Exotic and Domestic Animals Rescue \u201cFeldman Ecopark Good Home\u201d took two injured swans for rehabilitation. Both of them were with broken swings. One of the birds rescued from death is an adult female, which was taken by the volunteers from Donetsk oblast. The second one is a very young male yearling found by kind people in Kharkiv oblast. They have already passed veterinary examination and quarantine, and now they swim in the Swan Lake of the Regional Landscape Park, which has all of the necessary conditions for swimming birds to spend winter. According to the words of the head of the bird sector in Feldman Ecopark Volodymyr Perekhodovych, the condition of new residents is satisfactory.<\/p>\n
\u201cNothing is already threatening their lives, however, they will not be able to flight long distances, as the fractures are old, the bones knitted incorrectly, and it is already late and dangerous to break them. Most likely, both birds fell preys to predators or poachers, or, perhaps, entangled in fishing nets,\u201d Volodymyr Perekhodovych tells. \u201cThey will be comfortable here \u2013 the lake is cozy and safe, they will have enough food and a good company. There is already a flock of similar birds, which recover or have a rest here!\u201d<\/p>\n
It should be reminded that in the beginning of December, a swan from the ATO zone was also taken to Feldman Ecopark for rehabilitation. It spends winter on Swan Lake \u2013 one of the picturesque water bodies of the Three Lakes situated in the territory of the Regional Landscape Park. Since 2016, it is a home for swans and pelican, storks and herons, ducks and geese of different species \u2013 there are more than 40 birds there now. The most part of them settled on Swan Lake thanks to the Centre for Wild, Exotic and Domestic Animals Rescue \u201cFeldman Ecopark Good Home.\u201d<\/p>\n
It should be also reminded that since its opening, the Centre for Wild, Exotic and Domestic Animals Rescue \u201cFeldman Ecopark Good Home\u201d rendered assistance to more than 22,000 animals including nearly 4,000 wild ones. The significant part of rescued animals was returned to their natural habitat.
