A numerous and cheerful company of primates living in the Regional Landscape Park is enlarged by four new-born babies \u2013 southern pig-tailed macaque, hamadryas baboon, De Brazza\u2019s monkey, and mandrill.<\/p>\n
Feldman Ecopark\u2019s deputy director of zootechnics Valeriia Ivashchenko told that these little monkeys were born during the two weeks. The southern pig-tailed macaque female procreated in the end of November, the others \u2013 in the beginning of December. In particular, a little mandrill was born this week.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe kids are healthy and everything is fine. They are currently staying with their mothers in individual premises, the so-called \u2018birth units,\u2019 where they will stay before it becomes possible for them to join their congeners. Here, they are surrounded with care and attention of our veterinarians,\u201d Valeriia Ivashchenko told.<\/p>\n
In spring, when the weather gets warm enough to relocate the heat-loving monkeys into the open enclosures, the visitors will be able to look at the kids born during autumn and winter.<\/p>\n
It should be reminded that this autumn, the family of baboons living in Feldman Ecopark was already enlarged by the kids of yellow baboons and hamadryas baboons.
