The Cossack\u2019s Intercession exhibition will be opened in \u201cSophia of Kiev\u201d on October 14. The residents and guests of Kyiv will be able to look at the rare collection of Cossack\u2019s old weapons and signet rings of the Cossack leaders from the collection of a public figure, patron and collector Oleksandr Feldman. The oldest exhibits are coeval with the foundation of Zaporozhian Sich.<\/p>\n
Cossack\u2019s Intercession is an intermuseum project of the National Sanctuary \u201cSophia of Kiev\u201d and Feldman Family Museum. It is really hard to overrate the exhibits, as they are the priceless relics of the Cossacks. It is a weapon, which was held by our warriors for centuries to gain our freedom.<\/p>\n
The name of the project speaks for itself. From time immemorial, the Cossacks considered Our Most Holy Lady their protector. The exhibition is devoted to all Ukrainian warriors, who made their common cause at different times.<\/p>\n
The exhibition halls of Khlibna Gallery on the territory of National Sanctuary \u201cSophia of Kiev\u201d will demonstrate more than 40 samples of melee weapon: sabres, yataghans, knives, daggers, spearheads and tips of bear spears, chisels, etc. Moreover, the visitors will be able to look at the signet rings of the Cossack leaders and even a cannon of the end of 16th century.<\/p>\n
Various events will be held within the framework of the project: lectures, master classes, film shows, discussions and thematic excursions.<\/p>\n
