Three four-hoofed giant percherons \u2013 two mares and one stallion arrived to the Horse complex of the Feldman Ecopark. Earlier their foals have lodged here. Now the Regional Landscape Park possesses five animals of this large breed of horses.<\/p>\n
“These amazing animals arrived from the known horse-breeding farm “Leader” with which we actively cooperate. I’m sure that they quickly get settled here and will please the Ecopark’s visitors soon. There are a lot of opportunities for realization of horse talents: participation in sports competitions, horse shows, classes in equine assisted therapy. Thanks to the sizes and the constitution, percherons are ideal for work with veterans of ATO who come to us on psychosocial rehabilitation \u2014 the head of Feldman Ecopark\u2019s humanitarian programmes Iryna Yavorska told. \u2013 We also hope that they will give posterity in the territory of the Horse Complex, we would like to rear this remarkable breed in the Feldman Ecopark”.<\/p>\n
The horses will live in the new stable which ceremonial opening was held last week. The conditions in the new spacious wooden house with capacity for 14 horses are ideal. It’s cool in the summer, warm in the winter, there are fans and automatic drinking bowls here, and, above all, careful livestock specialists and loyal young friends from the Children\u2019s Ecology and Nature Study Academy nearby.<\/p>\n
We will note that the percheron breed originated in France (in the Province of Persh) at the beginning of the 19th century by crossing of east, mainly, Arab stallions with local draft breed of heavy western type. Historians consider that the ancestors of percherons made a basis of a medieval knightly cavalry. Percherons are record holders in growth among horses.<\/p>\n
It should be reminded that about hundred hoofed animals \u2014 44 horses, 26 ponies and 15 donkeys live in the Horse Complex Feldman Ecopark.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
