This weekend, on August 12 and 13, on Art Picnic Weekends in Feldman Ecopark the jazz festival was held. The Koktebel Jazz Festival Pre-party Weekend gathered on one stage such versatile musicians as: Spiel De Trois, Yevshan Zillia, Fever, Pavlo Rodenko Quartet, Nastia Znykaie, SEMMAR, KRUT. The last band won the hearts of patriots by their improbable charisma and national motives: awesome maiden vocal in tune with the revived historical instrument, the bandura, rolled out from the scene!<\/p>\n
“The Art Picnic combines different festivals, platforms and initiatives. For this reason, this weekend jointly with our friends Jazz Koktebel Festival 2017 the decision to immerse Kharkiv in the atmosphere of jazz has been made \u2014 the curator of Music and Art directions Kateryna Makukhina told \u2014 we invited on stage those children who had earlier submitted applications for participation in Jazz Koktebel Festival and had already been its multiple headliners. I’d hardly call the music of most of performers the jazz, being guided by standard criteria. But it makes no difference when the artists appear on the stage and give jazz!\u201d<\/p>\n
Jazz found the place on the big screen of the Art Picnic: all evening the cinema hall under the open sky showed the favorite film of all generations “Some Like It Hot”.<\/p>\n
Arrival of the famous musician, the frontman of O.Torvald rock group which represented Ukraine on the Eurovision this year became one more sensational event of this weekend. Zhenya Galich became the star guest of a lecture hall where he shared with admirers and festival participants his thoughts of music that influenced the actor in his childhood, about career, about popularity and even about the new album!<\/p>\n
Besides, more than hundred activities found place in the record large Weekends Art Picnic in Feldman Ecopark programme. Among them are the mental arithmetic school for children, run bike races, master classes in drawing, lessons of goodness, game workshop, How I See art studio, training in molding from polymer clay, face painting, meditative trainings with masters of yoga, badminton section, pole walking, crossfit and even historical reconstruction.<\/p>\n
It should be reminded that the Art Picnic Weekends in Feldman Ecopark started on August 5 and will last about two months. The organizers involved 10 directions in one art space: music, cinema, theatre, literature, children’s and art directions, sport, good deeds, fairs and festivals. Every week various meetings with interesting people are held.
