A nice animal of the Mustelidae family, which is in the Red List, was brought to the Regional Landscape Park from the Mykolaiv Zoo.<\/p>\n
A rare animal was rescued in the ATO zone near Volnovakha by the soldiers of the 30th brigade, who sheltered and named it. Later, it was brought to Mykolaiv by a volunteer Nelli Yakovenko. However, the conditions in the local zoo were not suitable for the marbled polecat and on the recommendation of the Foundation for Mustelidae Rescue, Nelli Yakovenko decided to bring the animal to Feldman Ecopark, where Lelik is going to stay.<\/p>\n
Feldman Ecopark\u2019s deputy director of zootechnics Valeriia Ivashchenko informed that the animal is in good condition, the veterinary examination and vaccination have been carried out, and the marbled polecat is currently in quarantine.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe visitors of Feldman Ecopark will soon be able to meet this cute little animal. Meanwhile, we are trying to find a couple for it. All-Ukrainian Service for Wild, Exotic and Domestic Animals Rescue \u201cFeldman Ecopark Good Home\u201d helps animals, which ran into danger, across the whole country. Recently, we\u2019ve found a marbled polecat named Tigra and Vasia, the badger, which were settled in spacious and comfortable enclosures as it was promised,\u201d Valeriia Ivashchenko tells.<\/p>\n
Out of more than 2,000 animals living in Feldman Ecopark, nearly ten belong to the Mustelidae family \u2013 polecats and ferrets.
