Ukrainian MP, the founder of the Institute of Human Rights and Prevention of Extremism and Xenophobia Oleksandr Feldman at the invitation of David de Rothschild took part in the ceremonial meeting devoted to the 10th anniversary of the international project Aladdin, which took place in Paris city hall on May 29.<\/p>\n
The meeting was also attended by the General Director of UNESCO Irina Bokova, the mayor of Paris Anne Hidalgo, the philanthropist David de Rothschild, the former President of France Nicolas Sarkozy, Saudi Sheikh Mohamed Bin Issa Al Jaber and others.<\/p>\n
\u201cToday, the world faced the serious challenges \u2013 terrorism and intolerance. The fight against them and the development of a tolerant society are the main topics discussed during the meeting,\u201d Oleksandr Feldman told.<\/p>\n
The MP highly appreciated the activity of the Aladdin project. \u201cI appreciate the projects aimed at the development of peaceful society, the creation of cross-cultural relations between the nations and the countries, the education and tolerance fostering,\u201d the founder of the Institute of Human Rights and Prevention of Extremism and Xenophobia added.<\/p>\n
It should be reminded that the Aladdin project is a versatile cultural initiative aimed at the fight against the denial of the Holocaust and all forms of racism and intolerance, and at the promotion of cross-cultural dialogue, especially among Muslims and Jews. The project is implemented under the aegis of UNESCO. More than 500 outstanding figures from Europe, North America and the Muslim world declared about their support of the project. They include politicians, religious figures, scientists, writers, artists and public activists of various religions and cultures.<\/p>\n
Within the framework of the trip to France, Oleksandr Feldman met with the mayor of Paris Anne Hidalgo. During the meeting they reached an agreement on cooperation between Oleksandr Feldman Foundation and Paris City Council aimed at the implementation of joint humanitarian and cultural projects.<\/p>\n
Today, Oleksandr Feldman is going to meet with the heads of Paris Zoo and the representatives of environmental protection organizations of France to discuss the cooperation with Feldman Ecopark and the joint environmental projects.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
