The head of the All-Ukrainian Service for Wild, Exotic and Domestic Animals Rescue \u201cFeldman Ecopark Good Home\u201d Iryna Podvoiska took part in the meeting of animal right defenders with the mayor and the members of Merefa town council (Kharkiv oblast), which was held on March 6 and was devoted to the implementation of the CSVR programme (capture, sterilization, vaccination, return to natural habitat) in the field of treatment of stray animals. She familiarized the participants of the meeting with the experience in the organization of the CSVR in other towns, in particular in the town of Pervomaiskyi, where Feldman Ecopark Good Home supported the introduction of the mechanism of control of the number of stray animals with the help of humane methods.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn Pervomaiskyi, the CSVR project continues successfully. They have already opened the special sterilizing centre and now they are moving to the next stage \u2013 the construction of the animal shelter. The administration of the town of Merefa met this information with the great interest. They understand the expediency of this work, and we hope for the further fruitful cooperation in this direction,\u201d Iryna Podvoiska emphasized. \u201cIt is very important for the heads of our towns to understand the importance of use of humane methods, like CSVR, for the solution of the stray dogs issues, and not to use the services of flayers. The same practice is already performed in Krasnohrad and Vovchansk (Kharkiv oblast), the relevant programme was accepted in Solonitsevka, and it is planned to implement it in Lozova.\u201d<\/p>\n
Iryna Podvoiska noted that in addition to the technical side of the issue (the organization of the conditions for sterilization, the opening of animal shelters), it is especially important to carry out the educational and informational activity, the propaganda of the responsible treatment of animals and the development of volunteer movement, because exactly the latter help to find new home for animals.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
