The Ukrainian MP Oleksandr Feldman commented on the incident in a synagogue in Uman on his Facebook page.<\/p>\n
\n“I want to express my revulsion over the actions of the unknown provokers who attacked a synagogue. It is the cynic, impudent and shameless attack on the prayer and repose place of one of eminent personalities of the the Jew religion, the person who proeached the highest human values. It is obvious that the aim of criminals is to breed discord and hatred in the Ukrainian society \u2014 Oleksandr Feldman emphasized. \u2014 I want to note that many anti-Semitic incidents which have happened earlier weren’t investigated, and nobody was punished. I’m worried about the lack of reaction of civil society. Once again I urge law enforcement agencies of Ukraine to investigate properly this crime and to bring the perpetrators to justice. It’s necessary to bend every effort to preclude such incidents in Ukraine”.<\/p>\n
