Integration into labor activity should be a priority in the field of state policy \u2013 such was the opinion expressed by a People\u2019s Deputy of Ukraine, the co-chairman of Nash Krai political party Oleksandr Feldman, when commenting on the recently presented new social doctrine of the state.
\n\u2018While continuing to sponsor ineffective educational establishments which do not meet requirements of the labor market, increasing the age of retirement, the state fails to take even a single step to ensure integration into labor activity for elderly people, disabled persons and women whose career is suspended by maternity leave,\u2019 says Oleksandr Feldman. \u2018That is why the principle of integration, in my opinion, is even more important than the principle of compensation, and social policy of the state should focus on this point, or else we are going to face a constantly increasing burden on our budget and employed Ukrainians instead of encouraged development for those who could fulfill their potential.\u2019
\nThe Deputy points out that the state must help the people with limited capacity for their own maintenance. \u2018We should pay retirement pensions and disability pensions, provide maintenance for children deprived of parental care, compensate for the loss of labour capacity due to birth of a child, professional activities and military service. Yet the moral duty of our state should not be limited to establishing these tiny welfare payments,\u2019 notes Oleksandr Feldman.
\nIn the politician\u2019s opinion, such issues as the destiny of orphans who finished state boarding schools, employment of single mothers and lonely pensioners or disabled people should belong to the competence of the state. \u2018In most civilized countries, public aid consists in creating opportunities for their integration into full-fledge life rather than in ensuring monthly payments, and we must take this experience onboard,\u2019 remarked Oleksandr Feldman.<\/p>\n
