The African lion\u2019s trinity is the most unusual family which can be met in Feldman Ecopark. Two predators Kali and Cherry and their gentleman Landau are among guest’s favourite cats in the Ecopark. Small and adult visitors can indefinitely watch lion’s soap operas: huge cats amiably play the spark to each other, or loudly share the gentleman, or even drive the unique man in the enclosure into a corner that he didn’t get in the way during the ladies’ lunch.<\/p>\n
\n“Cherry, Kali and Landau are a tight-knit family. They live together since the childhood. In their small pride, that’s the group of lions is also called, meanwhile, the leadership is assigned to girls. Landau got used to relinquish young ladies, but perhaps everything will change, this is because \u0435\u0440\u0443 cats are still youngsters”, – the head of predator sector Feldman Ecopark Maxim Kutsenko tells.<\/p>\n
\nBoth Kali and Cherry are three years old, Landau is one half a year younger \u2013 during this period lions don’t leave the childhood yet and continue to explore the world around. But during harmless childish games the predatory nature already appears. When girls have no mood, Landau becomes the butt of the joke. But being a true gentleman, Landau doesn’t ask for trouble: having heard the roar of the enraged lioness, he settles conveniently in a corner and waits until the girlfriend becomes more favorable to communication.<\/p>\n
\n“Landau is the kindest guy. There are no extra troubles with him: the lion never fights, on the contrary Landau is the admirer of a quiet gatherings with Cherry and Kali. Such lion’s attitude is also extended to employees \u2013 he never rushes on people and even loves to make small talk with them. When, for example, the employee passes by the enclosure, Landau runs directly towards him and if you ask the lion something, he surely will growl something in reply”, – Maxim laughs.<\/p>\n
\nThe employees look forward when the lion’s family grows up and someone from them will create couple to bring kids. Great expectations are connected with the fact that in Africa and Asia where the lions live, the scientists fix disturbing statistics: populations of cats are decreased and certain species are recognized as a vulnerable group. Climate change, diseases and the conflicts with people are the main reasons of quantity reduction of lions. The Ecopark’s employees will use the best efforts to provide savanna kings with all conditions in order that in this family the kids appeared.<\/p>\n
\n“We are sure that the birth of lions in the Ecopark’s conditions is not a myth, but reality. Our Amur tigress Delilah annually pleases us with kids – it’s the event of the international scale, this species is also considered a rare. We will try to use our best efforts to help the lion family to create posterity. They have a full-fledged useful diet, the acceptable walking territory, it’s necessary only to build a separate den for future mother where her pregnancy will proceed \u2013 but we will take care of it a bit later when our lions ripen for serious relations”, – have summed up in Feldman Ecopark.<\/p>\n
\nThe lionesses become reproductive in 4-5 years age. It’s quite possible that in a few years in the Ecopark not only the Amur tiger cubs, but also the African lion cubs will rush. Later the lion cubs will be distributed to other zoos for maintenance of populations of these endangered species.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
