Kharkiv\u2019s first Eco-run will took place in the Regional Landscape Park Feldman Ecopark on Sunday, October 2.More than 200 people took part in it. The youngest participant of a run was 5 years old, the most senior \u2013 78. The initiator of the Eco-run is the Marathon Club \u201cKharkiv.\u201d The event was held under the patronage of the International Charitable Foundation \u201cOleksandr Feldman Foundation\u201d within the large-scale social and sports project \u201cA tournament of 1000 teams\u201d.<\/p>\n
“The first Eco-run passed perfectly well, and we will try to make it traditional, even more interesting and prestigious, – the project manager of “A tournament of 1000 teams” Andrey Stronov told. – Let’s attract participants not only from Kharkiv and area, but also from all Ukraine”. Also Andrey Stronov noted: to become the participant of “A tournament of 1000 teams” first of all the desire to make something useful to development of sport, for the benefit of Kharkiv, the native land is required.<\/p>\n
“Our Marathon Club is more than 30 years old. It includes veterans of sport, participants of the world championships and the international superiorities. Practically each “Kharkiv” clubman at least once overcame a marathon distance. Among us there are winners of the world competitions in daily run. You just think about how difficult it is to run the whole days without stopping! \u2013 the member of the Marathon Club “Kharkiv” , one of initiators of the Eco-run Alexander Smolin tells- We have people with special needs and an iron will. Recently the member of our club which has a metal\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 prosthetic device instead of a bone in a leg overcame a running in 100 km. These people are unique \u2013 it is possible to write the book about each of them! We don’t have the closed club \u2013 we are glad to meet every new participant of our healthy sport movement. We want to hold events for youth and together with youth. We found adherents in it \u2013 the ICF \u201cOleksandr Feldman Foundation.| I’m sure that this Eco-run is the first and not our last combined action. \u201cIt will be cooperation on a long distance!\u201d<\/p>\n
It should be reminded that the International Charitable Foundation \u201cOleksandr Feldman Foundation\u201d has 20 years term of realization of projects directed to education spiritually and physically healthy younger generation. “A tournament of 1000 teams” is the most popular among all. It is implemented in Kharkiv since 2001. The tournament is the first large-scale project in Ukraine aimed at the revival of mass children and youth sport. The 1,000 Teams Tournament project is currently based on the territory of the Regional Landscape Park \u201cFeldman Ecopark\u201d uniting different kinds of sport and active rest.
