Ukrainian MP Oleksandr Feldman said that it is inadmissible that the situation when the facts of crimes committed on the territory of Babyn Yar in Kyiv are not investigated.<\/p>\n
He declared about this during the parliamentary hearings \u201c75th anniversary of the Babyn Yar tragedy: lessons of history and modern times\u201d in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on September 27.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt is sad but during three years, the law-enforcement authorities of the city of Kyiv got 126 complaints about the crimes committed on the territory of Babyn Yar. And the criminal proceedings were initiated only according to 5 of them. It is inadmissible!\u201d the politician declared.<\/p>\n
According to his words, \u201cthe criminals and vandals must know that the punishment is inevitable, it is not just teen-age \u2018tricks\u2019, but a serious criminal offence.\u201d<\/p>\n
According to the politician, informing the society about those terrible events in Babyn Yar will help to avoid the appearing of the range of dangerous tendencies. \u201cI am sure that any rejection and unacceptance starts with the shortage of information. If people, especially the youth, obtained full information about those terrible events, we would not observe the increase of xenophobia and anti-Semitism today,\u201d Oleksandr Feldman added.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
