The unique exhibition \u201cThe Friend\u2019s Image\u201d with the bronze animalistic masterpieces from the collection of Oleksandr Feldman opened on September 23 in AVEC Gallery. The main and, as a matter of fact, the single hero of the exposition is a dog, which is a generally recognized symbol of fidelity and devotion, and one of the most favourite and widespread images in animalistic art.<\/p>\n
The exhibition includes nearly 80 bronze sculptures by over 40 authors of different schools of art, belonging to three generations. They include the works by the distinguished representatives of the famous School of Paris that played a very important part in the formation and the spread of animalistic genre in European sculpture. German, Austrian, Belgian and Russian schools of animalistic plastic art are also represented. The exposition includes the works by such famous masters as Antoine-Louis Barye (1796-1875), Pierre-Jules Mene (1810-1879), Emmanuel Fr\u00e9miet (1824-1919), Pier Jules Moigniez (1835-1894), Nikolai Lieberich (1828-1883), and Dumitru Chip\u0103ru\u0219 (1886-1947).<\/p>\n
\u201cDogs are very important in our life. They are the reliable friends and assistants of people, they are devoted to people with all their essence. And it is possible to feel this deeply by familiarizing with the masterpieces created by the masters of animalistic plastic art,\u201d Oleksandr Feldman noted. \u201cMade with the brilliant craftsmanship and huge love, these sculptures demonstrate the development of European art of the period from the second half of the 19th century to the first half of the 20th century.\u201d<\/p>\n
The numerous art amateurs who visited the opening ceremony of the exhibition were surprised pleasantly with the show presented by the Feldman Ecopark, the stage performance of the cynologists with dogs and the show of the sand animation studio.<\/p>\n
The organizers note that exhibition \u201cThe Friend\u2019s Image\u201d is aimed not only to demonstrate the works of the world-known sculptors of the period from the second half of the 19th century to the first half of the 20th century, but also to promote the development of humane and responsible attitude of Ukrainian society towards all living creatures. It is the continuation of the cultural and educational project of the International Charitable Foundation \u201cOleksandr Feldman Foundation,\u201d the aim of which is to introduce Ukrainian audience with works of world art from the own collection of the Foundation\u2019s founder.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
