Feldman Ecopark actively participates in the program of a free exchange of animals between zoological parks of Ukraine. Recently animals from the Regional Landscape Park filled up collections of Vinnytsia, Kiev, Lviv and Rovno zoos.<\/p>\n
In particular, we transferred two Canadian wolf cubs (the boy and the girl), a baboon and Brazza’s monkey to the zoo “Limpopo\u00bb which is located after near Lviv. The Rovno Zoo became the new house for four gray wolf cubs. In Kiev, 15 Cameroonian goats, 10 sheep and 15 guinea pigs lodged in a contact yard in ENEA (The national complex “Expocentre of Ukraine”). Two hussar monkeys and a ram moved from Ecopark to the Vinnytsia zoo.<\/p>\n
“The exchange and transfer of animals to other zoos are necessary for maintenance of communications with colleagues, development and increase in collections, and also for recovery of populations of endangered species of animals”, \u2013 the deputy director Feldman E\u0441opark Valery Ivashchenko noted.<\/p>\n
We will remind that this spring Feldman E\u0441opark also transferred a cheetah to the Kharkiv Zoo, and last winter \u2013 river otters to the Jerusalem Bible Zoo (Israel). Besides, the cooperation and an exchange of animals with zoos of Europe and the world is provided within the European Association of Zoos and Aquariums (EAZA) which alternate member Feldman Ecopark became in April this year.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
