A couple of red deer in the Feldman Ecopark gave birth to a baby. A fawn walks around the enclosure keeping close to the mother. All visitors of the Regional Landscape Park are able to look at one of the most beautiful representatives of cervids. It lives in the open summer enclosure together with the other 24 adult congeners. By the way, it is the single fawn in the herd, but this does not prevent it from spending time with interest.<\/p>\n
\u201cFawns usually spend the first days of their life hiding in shelters and perfectly masking. They almost melt into the background, that is why it is difficult to find them even staying within a few steps of an animal. The young deer actively comes in sight from its \u2018ambush\u2019. It perfectly gets on with other animals, it is very curious and active,\u201d Andrii Roshchupkin, the director of the Feldman Ecopark tells.<\/p>\n
According to caring specialists, the newborn red deer will not be given to the other collections, it will stay to live in the Ecopark.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have already carried out several examinations of the baby, and found out that, fortunately, nothing threatens its health. Soon, it is planned to carry out the first dehelmintization. This important procedure allows keeping the kid from intestinal parasites,\u201d Anna Zhukovska, the Feldman Ecopark\u2019s veterinarian told.<\/p>\n
It should be reminded that the large-scale baby boom is observed during the spring-and-summer period in the Feldman Ecopark. Charming breeds appeared in the families of fallow deer, black-and-white ruffed lemurs, coatis, kangaroos, raccoons, squirrel monkeys, Japanese macaques, patas monkeys, mandrills, Siberian tigers, northwestern, Alaskan tundra and gray wolves, and other animals.
