Two new groups for children were opened in the Feldman Ecopark’s Centre of Psychosocial Rehabilitation in order to provide an intensive rehabilitation using the equine-assisted therapy.<\/p>\n
The equine-assisted therapy as a method of work with children and teenagers is used in the Feldman Ecopark during over two years. However, the Centre’s specialists search for the new directions in rehabilitation area. One of these steps is the introduction of group equine-assisted therapy for children with different peculiarities. According to the words of specialists, the main task of this form of work is the child’s adaptations to the system of interpersonal interaction “Me \u2013 You \u2013 He \u2013 She = We”, in course of which they comfortably adopt the behavioral rules and the formation of various habit of actions in social environment.<\/p>\n
“The use of group methods of work favours the effective process of socialization of a child and the formation of various skills of communication,” the Centre’s psychology head Tetiana Aliieva noted.<\/p>\n
The groups were formed during the preparatory psychocorrective stage, and they include children and teenagers with various neurologic and psychological disorders. “The preparatory course of psychocorrection was directed at the stabilization of emotional area and the establishment of contact with a child. Now, the new stage started \u2013 the communication with horses in the Feldman Ecopark,” the Centre’s medicine head Inna Vashkite told.<\/p>\n
It should be reminded that the Centre of Psychosocial Rehabilitation started its work in 2013.
