The workers of the Service for wild, exotic and domestic animals rescue \u201cFeldman Ecopark Good Home\u201d rescued four young mute swans. The information that the birds are freezing on one of the lakes in the town of Valky (Kharkiv oblast) was provided by local fishermen. They got the birds out of the ice captivity, however, they were not able to provide qualitative veterinary assistance.<\/p>\n
The workers of the Feldman Ecopark urgently arrived to the site and took the injured swans. The birds were examined in Kharkiv. They undergo rehabilitation now.<\/p>\n
\u201cAfter the examination, we found out that despite overcooling, three of the swans were absolutely healthy. However, one of them was injured. We found a wing injury,\u201d the Ecopark vet Anna Zhukovska told. \u201cThe specialists disinfected the injury and put on a bandage. In addition all birds undergone the treatment for parasites, and took the necessary antibiotics and vitamins.\u201d<\/p>\n
The rescued mute swans are currently staying in the special enclosure under the vet\u2019s care. The specialists consider that the birds\u2019 condition is stable. When spring comes, the swans will be resettled to the territory of Three lakes, where the visitors of the Feldman Ecopark will be able to see them.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
